We decided to give you a little bit more time to finish your widget for the Glowe competition: till the 31th of October you can let Erdem know where he can find your widget.

Till now, three Glowe-groups are working on a widget, so there's quite a chance that you can win the Wii. If you have questions, Erdem can help you out via the Glowe forum or mail (erdem@glowe.org). We announce the winning widget at Monday the 10th of November.

Looks like Microsoft has its own developer days. They must be trying to act like GLOWE...
just kidding... Tomorrow some of our GLOWE crew members are going to the DevDays in Amsterdam. We'll be making some news posts about that soon.

Our next meeting will primarily be about GLOWE projects and applications. you can subscribe just by answering to the forum post here.

GLOWE has made it in the news. T-zine, a blog of a Belgian newspaper "De Tijd" reported our presence at the webcamp. You can read the full article here.

The GLOWE crew was at the mobilewebcamp saturday. Together with a few core GLOWErs we made the day a succes.
Several people came to attend davy's hands-on lab in widget building. Many of them where curious people from the webcamp.
The same day our website was publicly launched. Cool to see was that there we're nearly always people sitting at the table, messing around in the widget editor, and if you wanted to take a break you could attend another session. Must say that the widget building contest was a succes aswell. In the picture below you can see the winner Tom(holding his phone), the runner up Andy(with the goatie) and in the middle Erdem from the GLOWE crew. Tom left the webcamp with 11 movie tickets in his pocket and he's been uploading widgets like crazy. Well done to Andy aswell, he had his widget working but just missed the timeline in having a nice style.
Also thanks to everyone attanding our GLOWE sessions. We'll be having a GLOWE meeting again in the very near future. Hope we'll see you guys there again.

Webcamp @ kaai 16 in Hasselt Belgium @ Saturday 26th of April from 10h till 19h. We will be there giving hands-on labs on building widgets. Everyone at the webcamp can come and take a look. Though, a lot of us will bring our laptops and will be there creating cool widgets. We expect new people to come and see what we are doing. Since we are very very helpful, everyone will be able to get started.
