GloweMe has gone live! (in closed Beta)
You can check it out on http://gloweme.com.
GloweMe is the perfect tool for GLOWE developers to spread their widgets. Thanks to a "on the fly building mechanism" GloweMe can provide 1 Java application for 1 widget. Another neat feature is a flash version of every Widget. That means you can preview any widget before downloading it to your cellphone. But the thing that makes GloweMe even more great is that you can embed the flash version of a widget on your own site !
This also means the GloweMe contest can officially begin and you can upload your widgets to gloweme.com and might win a Nintendo Wii console. If you want to participate you can register yourself at http://gloweme.com. For now the site is in closed beta. My guess is that most people will be accepted in registering for GloweMe but the number of registrants is limited for now. But offcourse, if you want to use or download a widget, you don't need to register. (Do please send an extra mail to erdem@glowe.org if you want to compete for the Nintendo Wii. That way I'll know for sure if you want the grand prize or not.)
Tom the webraider, promoted his pukkelpop widget today amongst his friends thru GloweMe. He just embeded his widget on his site like so:
