Glowe Mobile for Java Phones (beta)

Hello everyone. This post is intended to start discussion about the Java version of Glowe Mobile.

As you can read in the news post, the beta version can be downloaded at the url http://sln.tc/e7 from your mobile phone.

Please keep in mind that there are still some unfixed bugs and strange behaviors. To maximize the chance that your widget works, you must follow the Glowe specification very strictly. The most up-to-date specification of Glowe can be found at the Documentation section of this website.

Some widgets may not work correctly or not at all. Also, some widgets are too heavy for some mobile phones. When you keep these things in mind, you can enjoy the Glowe experience on your Java-enabled mobile phone!

I just published a new version (1.1). It's basically only bug fixes. Though it should make the performance better.

Hi,

I have just joined, and frankly just heard of glowe. So, I am quite keen to see what one can do with this, but I can not get the Java version to install - I get an error message that says "can not read JAR file".

I am trying to install this client on a SonyEricsson P1i (running a Symbian platform) - should it work, or am I barking up the wrong tree here?

I updated the JAD file to point to the full jar url. You could also try to download the jar and deploy it directly to your mobile...
